ANKARA

Turkish deputy premier has said that Turkey supported establishment of bi-communal state structure with equal rights in Cyprus.

Turkey has been continuing its efforts for economic improvement in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC), Besir Atalay said during his visit to Anadolu Agency (AA) Editorial Desk.
The Greek Cypriot administration has never assumed a compromising attitude, he said.
"The Greek Cypriot administration will assume EU rotating presidency on July 1. It is an opportunity for them. They will use it," he said. Atalay said that there would be no progress in Turkey-EU relations during its rotating presidency for six months.
There was a great recovery in TRNC economy, he said, adding that Turkey had been doing its best for several areas such as tourism, education and agriculture in TRNC.
