ISTANBUL

A British citizen, who was going to Iraq's Erbil city from London, hanged herself in Ataturk Airport in Istanbul late Saturday, according to security officials. 

Jacqueline Anne Sutton, 50, according to local media, was found dead by the passengers in the restroom in the airoport's international transit terminal, Istanbul police said. 

Sutton had reportedly missed her connecting flight to Erbil and was apparently at pains to purchase another ticket.
