Turkey’s election board to provide instant poll results for parties
Supreme Election Board prepared portals, application to share general election results with political parties
ANKARA
Turkey’s Supreme Election Board (YSK) has prepared portals and an application to share results of the June 7 general elections with candidates of political parties.
The Portal of Political Parties was established in order to inform the headquarters of political parties of the ballot box results, according to the Supreme Election Board. It will provide more secure, quick and recorded data of the results as required by election law.
Test procedures for services with Turkish parties are ongoing. The portals will share information about the list of the domestic and international electorate, as well as the number of political parties and independent candidates.
Poll results will be announced on June 7 after 5:00 p.m. local time (1500GMT) and sent to political party members participating in Turkey’s general elections.
Voters will elect 550 members of the Turkish parliament from 20 political parties. This will be the country's 25th general elections.
