Several fans of Turkish soccer team Trabzonspor have been attacked ahead of Friday's match against Napoli in Italy.

One Turkish fan was wounded in the face when two men riding a scooter threw objects at the rented van the supporters were travelling in on the main seaside road in the bay of Naples on Friday ahead of tonight’s game at the San Paolo Stadium in Naples, police said.

An ambulance took the fan to hospital after the Turkish fans stopped at a nearby piazza where passers-by called the emergency services.
