ANKARA
Recent discounts in gasoline prices in Turkey has reduced the cost of fueling a 40-liter fuel tank by 15 Turkish Liras ($6.75) compared to the beginning of 2014.
The 0.37 TL ($0.17) decrease in the price of unleaded gasoline since the beginning of 2014 came as a result of fall in crude oil prices.
According to 8 major petroleum companies' pump prices, the price of 95 octane unleaded gasoline per liter has dropped from 4.95 TL ($2.23) to 4.58 TL ($2.06).
Gasoline prices decreased by 7.5 percent per liter, with the last 0.12 TL ($0.05) discount taking place on Tuesday midnight.
In the beginning of 2014, fueling a 40-liter fuel tank cost 198 TL ($89.14), but the amount has now dropped to 183 TL ($82.39) as a result of the latest discounts.
