International Support Group for Lebanon will discuss on Wednesday how to help the country cope with an influx of refugees due to the ongoing civil war in Syria.
Held under the auspices of the United Nations in France's capital, Paris, the conference will be attended by leaders from Lebanon, France, the United Kingdom, the United States, Russia, the Arab League and the World Bank. Saudi Arabia will also have representation owing to its planned aid to Lebanon.
Lebanon hosts over 900,000 Syrian refugees, which has caused significant instability in a country that has a population of 4 million.
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his US counterpart John Kerry will be among the attendees at Wednesday's meeting.
Syria's three-year civil war has caused nearly 140,000 deaths and forced 2.5 million people from the country.
