Twenty-seven foreigners detained in Gezi Park protests across Turkey

ANKARA

Twenty-seven foreigners were detained in Taksim Gezi Park protests across Turkey while 21 others were released as anti-government protests continued for the second week. 

Officials said nationals of Iran, Russia, France, Britain, Greece, and Canada were detained within the scope of Istanbul's Taksim protests. 

Among those detained in Turkish provinces of Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir, 5 were reported to be journalists.
