Arsenal lose to Manchester United at home

Red Devils topple Gunners 2-1 in London; Arsenal full-back Kieran Gibbs finds his own net.

Arsenal lose to Manchester United at home

ANKARA 

Manchester United defeated Arsenal 2-1 in the English Premier League at Arsenal's Emirates Stadium on Saturday.

Gunners left-back Kieran Gibbs scored the opening goal of the match - by putting the ball in his own net in the 56th minute.

Five minutes from the end of the match, the Red Devils' skipper Wayne Rooney doubled the score for United.

Arsenal's French target man Olivier Giroud scored a consolation goal in the 95th minute, making the final score as 2-1.

Premier League leaders Chelsea also played on Saturday and finished the job early against 10-man West Bromwich Albion. 

The Blues won the game at their home ground, Stamford Bridge, 2-0. 

Spanish forward Diego Costa and Belgian midfielder Eden Hazard scored for their London team.

West Bromwich Albion's Claudio Yacob was sent off in 29th minute.

The win means Chelsea have now collected 32 points so far, and are seven points ahead of their closest opponents, Southampton.

Reigning Premier League winners Manchester City defeated Swansea City 2-1 at City's home ground, the Etihad Stadium.

City managed to stage a comeback against Swansea after the visitors scored an early goal through their Ivorian striker Wilfried Bony.

However, Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic equalized shortly afterwards. 

In the second half, the home team's Ivorian box-to-box midfielder Yaya Toure scored the winning goal for Manchester City.
