Spanish attacking midfielder David Silva will be sidelined for three to four weeks due to a knee injury, Manchester City's coach said on Friday.
Manuel Pellegrini said in a press conference at Etihad Stadium on Friday that Silva was going to miss the English Premier League derby match against Manchester United on Sunday.
"David has a problem with his ligament and he will be out for about three weeks," said the Chilean head coach.
In addition, Pellegrini pointed out that Ivorian box-to-box midfielder Yaya Toure and French wide midfielder Samir Nasri had returned from injuries and were available for Sunday's game.
Manchester City playmaker Silva was injured in the Capital One Cup 2-0 loss against Newcastle on Wednesday.
