ROME

Roma and Juventus both extended their winning streak at the weekend, putting them at the top of Serie A with nine points from three games.

Roma defeated Cagliari 2-0 at home on Sunday, with Mattia Destro and Alessandro Florenzi putting the Giallorossi at the top of the table due to goal difference.

Last season’s champions Juventus notched up an away win at AC Milan thanks to single goal from Carlos Tevez on Saturday to claim second spot.

Udinese beat Napoli 1-0 while Inter secured a 1-1 draw against Palermo.

The leagues top scorers are Antonio Cassano (Parma), Mauro Icardi (Inter) and Jeremy Menez (AC Milan), all with three goals, while Pablo Osvaldo (Inter), Keisuke Honda (AC Milan), Mateo Kovacic (Inter), Antonio Di Natale (Udinese), Carlos Tevez (Juventus) and Franco Vazquez (Palermo) have all scored two.
