Football: Pogba extends contract with Juventus

ANKARA

Last three seasons' Italian top football division Series A winners Juventus announced on Friday that the club extended their French star Paul Pogba's contract.

The 21-year-old French midfielder put pen to paper on a new deal keeping him at "Juve" until 2019.

"Bianconeri" (The White-Blacks) CEO Giuseppe Marotta also confirmed the agreement: "Before coming here we signed Paul Pogba’s contract extension which binds us until 2019."

Having played for another football giant, England's Manchester United, the French player was snapped up by the Italian side on a free transfer in August of 2012. Pogba is regarded as one of the integral parts of 'Juve' over the past two seasons in which the Torinese club were the domestic title champions.

Pogba has been playing for France regularly as well. The promising midfielder recently won 2014 FIFA World Cup Young Player award.
