Turkey won two gold and two silver medals and a bronze medal in the London Olympic Games competing in 16 branches with 114 athletes.

Turkey wins five medals in London Olympic Games

LONDON (AA) - August 12, 2012 - Turkey won two gold and two silver medals and a bronze medal in the London Olympic Games competing in 16 branches with 114 athletes.

Olympic golds and silvers came in athletics and Taekwondo as bronze medal was won in wrestling.
Asli Cakir Alptekin won the gold in women's 1,500 meters which saw another Turkish athlete, Gamze Bulut came second to claim the silver medal.
In Taekwondo, Servet Tazegul won the gold medal in men's 68kg and Nur Tatar clinched the silver in women's 67kg.
Turkey's single bronze medal was claimed by wrestler Riza Kayaalp in men's 120kg Greco-Roman.
