Syria's Permanent Representative at the United Nations (UN), Bashar Jafari on Monday argued, in a letter sent to the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, that the Syrian opposition may use chemical weapons and place the blame on the Syrian government.
In his letter, Jafari underlined that the Syrian government "under no condition" would utilize chemical weapons.
Countries who support the Syrian opposition may provide chemical weapons to the Syrian opposition, Jafari said in his letter.
"A news article in Yurt newspaper said that members of Al Qaeda were producing chemical weapons in a laboratory in south-eastern Turkish province of Gaziantep. Such weapons may be used against the civilians in Syria," Jafari also said.
