Barcelona lost against Bayern Munich 3-2 in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals second leg clash on Tuesday night at Allianz Arena in Munich, but they advanced to the finals because they won the first leg 3-0 last week.

Bayern Munich took the lead in the game with Moroccan center-back Medhi Benatia's header in the 7th minute, 1-0. Visitors Barcelona replied when Brazilian forward Neymar made an easy finish in the 15th minute, 1-1.

"Barca" came back in the 29th minute when Neymar scored on a counter attack, 2-1.

In the 59th minute, Bayern Munich equalized thanks to Polish striker Robert Lewandowski's individual effort to the goal, 2-2.

Bayern Munich's German forward Thomas Muller found the net by hitting just outside the penalty box in the 74th minute, 3-2. Bastian Schweinsteiger produced the assist.

Bayern had the lead once again, but it was not enough for them.

Barcelona qualified for the Champions League finals even though they lost this match. Barcelona won the semis 5-3 on aggregate.

The other semifinal match will be played on Wednesday in Madrid. Real Madrid will meet Juventus in the UEFA Champions League semi-finals second leg.

The match at Santiago Bernabeu Stadium will start at 20.45 CET (1845 GMT).
