Russia accuses Ukraine of 'cease-fire breach'
Moscow blames Ukrainian army forces of violating Minsk agreement signed in February by having heavy weapons deployed in the restive southeastern region, as clashes continue between government forces and pro-Russia separatists
MOSCOW
Russia accused Ukraine on Saturday of holding heavy weapons in its rebel-controlled southeastern region, in violation of the Minsk agreement, according to a statement from the Russian Foreign Ministry quoted by Tass news agency.
The accusation came after a video footage of the conflict zone appeared to show Ukrainian army forces using D-30 howitzers with a range of 22 kilometers at a contact line between pro-Russian separatists and Ukrainian soldiers.
The statement said that the current state of affairs is against the cease-fire accord -- called the Minsk agreement -- over the crisis in Ukraine that was signed on Feb. 12 between Russia, Ukraine, France and Germany.
