Foreign journalists not to be accredited without approval of intelligence in Egypt

(AA) -  Egyptian authorities Friday made amendments to foreign journalists' accreditation in Egypt, giving accreditation with the approval of intelligence and Ministry of Internal Affairs. 

In a statement released by Turkish Directorate General of Press and Information on Friday, it was stated that a new implementation was in force for foreign journalists visiting Egypt as of August 15, 2013. 

"No foreign journalist will be accredited without the approval of Egyptian General Intelligence Service, Ministry of Interior and Office of Military Intelligence Services and temporary admission permit will not be granted unless permission is given for the equipments they will bring along," the statement said.
