Great disrespect to religious places, says Turkish Deputy PM Bozdag

ANKARA (AA)
Turkish Deputy Prime Minister Bekir Bozdag said Tuesday "It was a great disrespect to religious places and to Islam. It is well defined in our traditions how to go into a mosque. It is unacceptable to go into the mosques with shoes on, with stones and sticks, and alcoholic drinks."

Referring to the claims that some protesters went into the Bezm-i Alem Valide Sultan Mosque with shoes on, and drank there, Bozdag said it was quite normal for Turkish presidency of religious affairs to examine the mosques to find out the truth. Bozdag added the incident and not the muezzin was under investigation.
