ANKARA
Speaking at a conference in Ankara, the Turkish capital, Egyptian Ambassador in Ankara Abderahman Salaheldin hailed Turkey's efforts during the January 25th Egyptian evolution in 2011.
Stating that the revolution had a positive impact in terms of Turkey-Egypt relations, Salaheldin said, "the bilateral relations boomed aftermath of the revolution."
Noting that there had been several visits between leaders of the Turkey and Egypt, the ambassador said, "Turkish President Abdullah Gul arrived Cairo in March in 2011, less than one month after Mobarek was forced to step down, which made Gul the first head of state who visited Egypt after the revolution. The aim of the visit display the solidarity with the Egyptian state and the Turkish state and their people. Gul's visit followed by Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan's in September last year which also helped boost bilateral relations. The relations between our two countries can just go forward, no decline is likely."
