JERUSALEM (AA) – More than 40 Palestinians were injured on Tuesday after Israeli forces fired tear gas canisters and sonic bombs at a protest against a planned rally by Jewish settlers in al-Quds (occupied East Jerusalem).
Eyewitnesses said clashes erupted after Israeli police forces closed off Bab al-Amod area to prevent Palestinians from entering Al-Aqsa Mosque.
The Municipality of Jerusalem has announced rallies across Jerusalem on September 24 as part of the celebration of Sukkot.
