Some of THY flights cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy

ISTANBUL 
A statement posted on the website of Turkish Airlines (THY) said that flights on Tuesday; TK 8 Washington-Istanbul, TK 12 New York-Istanbul, TK 3 Istanbul-New York, TK 4 New York-Istanbul and TK 1 Istanbul-New York as well as Wednesday's flight TK 12 New York-Istanbul were cancelled due to Hurricane Sandy.
Hurricane Sandy grounded well over 10,000 flights across the Northeast and the globe.
