ISTANBUL
Turkey representative of the Syrian National Council (SNC) Halit Hoca said that it was a low chance to fulfill cease fire in Syria.
Speaking to AA on Wednesday, Hoca said that under current conditions, it was hard to implement the cease fire because many cities were under siege by Assad forces, and Shabiha were acting freely, adding that it was difficult to fulfill cease fire before they were taken under control and without an international mechanism which would supervise the cease fire.
Hoca recalled that Assad forces opened fire on people who were praying during last Ramadan holiday by disregarding the cease fire, noting that nobody could guarantee that Assad forces would not do the same thing in Eid al-Adha.
Earlier in the day, Lakhdar Brahimi, the Joint Special Representative of the UN & the League of Arab States, announced that Assad administration accepted the cease fire throughout the four-day Eid al-Adha holiday.
