Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu said, regarding the Syrian passenger plane that was forced to land in Ankara earlier in October, that the plane was forced to land not due to the deal made (between Syria and Russia) but as it was carrying military equipment as a civilian plane in Turkish air space.
Speaking at a joint press conference with his Albanian counterpart Edmond Panariti in Istanbul and answering a question on the Syrian passenger plane, Ahmet Davutoglu noted that the plane issue was not one that could not be overcome between Turkey and Russia.
Turkey never regarded the forced landing of the Syrian passenger plane as an issue between Russia and itself, Davutoglu also said.
