Syria downed Turkish jet without warning
Spokesperson for the U.S. Department of State, Victoria Nuland described Syria's downing a Turkish military jet as a flagrant act.
Asked about her views after the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad said that they learned the downed jet belonged to Turkey only after the incident, Nuland replied that she would not make any comment on such a statement.
I will repeat what we have said earlier. They (the Syrians) downed the Turkish military jet without making a warning and this was a flagrant act, Nuland stressed.
