HASAKAH, Syria
At least two security guards were killed and four others injured Sunday in a suicide attack on the security office of the Syrian-Kurdish Democratic Union Party (PYD) in the city of Qamishli in northeastern Syria, a security source said.
"A suicide bomber detonated his explosive belt inside a security center,” a PYD security source told Anadolu Agency on condition of anonymity.
The source accused Daesh of being responsible for the attack.
Syria has been gripped by violence since the Bashar al-Assad regime launched a crackdown in response to anti-government protests in March 2011, triggering a civil war in which more than 220,000 people have died.
