At least 20 people were killed and more than 30 injured Tuesday in vacuum bomb attacks in Syria by forces loyal to Bashar al-Assad's regime, opposition activists said.
The Syrian Revolution General Commission (SRGC) said in a statement that regime planes attacked a market place in Idlib's Darkus district with three vacuum bombs.
The statement said that many children and women are among those killed. It added that those critically injured in the attack were sent to Turkey for medical care.
Syria has been gripped by nearly constant fighting since the regime launched a violent crackdown in response to anti-government protests in March 2011, triggering a conflict that has spiraled into civil war, resulting in the deaths of over 211,000 people.
