A blogger has been hacked to death in Bangladesh's capital Dhaka, according to police.
Senior police officer Biplob Kumar Sarkar told reporters that two people had been detained from the site of the attack on Washiqur Rahman, while another was involved in the attacked.
Sarkar said that during initial questioning, the suspects said they killed Rahman because of the ideological content of his blogs.
Sarkar pointed out however that the investigation was only in its initial stages and their claims would have to be cross-checked.
He added that they would investigate whether there was any connection with the murders of other bloggers.
The murder comes only a month after atheist blogger Avijit Roy was killed in a similar way.
