Another mass grave has been found in the state of Guerrero, near where 43 students disappeared late last month following a clash with police, authorities said late Monday.

Forensic experts are investigating and conducting tests in the Cocula area to determine if the human remains are those of the missing students from a rural teaching college.

Mexican authorities have already pulled 38 bodies from other mass graves near Iguala, the site where the students were last seen, but those DNA tests have not provided any matches.

Attorney general Jesus Murillo Karam announced Monday the arrest of four more suspected members of the Guerrero Unidos, or United Warriors, drug cartel. Two of the suspects are believed to be directly involved in the disappearance of the students.

The new arrests bring to 56 the number of police officers and suspected organized crime members who have been detained in the case.

Police opened fire Sept. 26 on demonstrating students from the Ayotzinapa Normal School who were protesting in Iguala. The confrontation left six people dead and 43 missing students.

The case has garnered international attention and growing public anger against President Enrique Pena Nieto for not doing more to find the students.

Last week, an arrest warrant was issued for the mayor of Iguala, Jose Luis Abarca and his wife, after evidence suggeste that the couple may be linked to the disappearances.

Also last week, Angel Aguirre, Guerrero's governor, resigned after being criticized for his handling of the case.
