-Erdogan-Obama talks-

Assessing the meeting of Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and US President Barack Obama, Irsen said, "one of the five main issues in Erdogan's bag is Cyprus."
"We are doing what is necessary as a government. We have told our contacts in New York and Washington that 2013 was a suitable year for the resolution of the Cyprus issue. Turkey, of course, is putting great effort to solve its problems and especially the current government, under the chairmanship of Mr. Erdogan, is accomplishing great tasks. It is pleasing for us to see Ankara showing the same determination in the Cyprus issue likewise its internal and external affairs. We would never want to fall behind in the successful international policies carried out by Turkey. We are pleased to carry out the Cyprus issue with the Turkish government at a time when it is pursuing such successful policies, "Irsen said.
