Preparations have been initiated to set up Turkey's first launcher pad.
Turksat Director General Ozkan Dalbay told AA on Sunday that Defense Industry Executive Board expressed several alternative cities to set up launcher pad.
Also, Turkey can make an agreement with another country to install the launcher pad there, he added.
Noting that Turksat was not included in the Board's project, Dalbay said that however, Turksat would be a user of this project.
Turkey will be able to launch its own satellite to space with its own launcher pad by 2023, said Dalbay, adding that coasts of Mediterranean or Black Sea could be alternatives to set up the launcher pad.
