Speaking at the 39th meeting of the foreign ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Davutoglu more than 39 thousand people had been killed in Syria, adding that the Assad regime continued to kill its innocent civilians.
Davutoglu said the responsibility of the tragedy in Syria was solely on the Syrian regime which he said refused to meet legitimate demands of the Syrian people.
"The Syrian regime lost its legitimacy. Syrian opposition and people deserve more support," Davutoglu said.
Touching on Israel's occupation of Palestine, Davutoglu said the Jewish state's settlement policy in Eastern Jerusalem, occupation and its aggression undermined efforts for a lasting peace in the Middle East, jeopardizing the two-state solution.
On a recent Israeli offensive in the Gaza Strip, Davutoglu said Israeli military forces "brutally killed innocent civilians", adding that Turkey called on the United Nations and the international community to take action to stop Israeli aggression.
