Turkey to provide 106 million USD to Kyrgyzstan

BISHKEK (AA) - June 28, 2012 - Turkey will provide 106 million USD to Kyrgyzstan for the country's development.

In a ceremony held at the Kyrgyz Prime Ministry, Kyrgyz Finance Minister Akylbek Japarov and Turkey's Ambassador in Bishkek Nejat Akcal signed two agreements whereby Turkey would provide a loan of 100 million USD and a donation of 6 million USD.
Kyrgyz Prime Minister Omurbek Babanov was present at the ceremony.
Speaking at the ceremony, Babanov said that they were grateful to the Turkish President Abdullah Gul, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the people of Turkey.
The financial support from Turkey would be used in social and economic projects, Babanov stressed.
The loan of 100 million USD would be paid back to Turkey in 20 years, Babanov stated.
Speaking to the Anadolu Agency (AA), Ambassador Akcal said that the financial support extended to Kyrgyzstan from Turkey would be used for the development of Kyrgyzstan.
