At the end of the meeting a protocol was signed by three countries' ministers.

Fourth ministerial meeting of Baku-Tbilisi-Kars Railway Project ends

BAKU (AA) - July 18, 2012 - Fourth ministerial meeting of Baku-Tbilis-Kars Railway Project ended in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku on Wednesday.

Turkish Transportation, Maritime & Communication Minister Binali Yildirim, Azerbaijani Transportation Minister Ziya Mammadov and Georgian Regional Development & Infrastructure Minister Ramaz Nikolaishvili attended the meeting in Baku.
At the end of the meeting a protocol was signed by three countries' ministers. 
According to the protocol, the construction company in Georgian border will be warned to complete its part, a new agreement between Turkey and Georgia will be singed to make faster progress in the project. 
Speaking to reporters after the signing ceremony, Turkish Minister Yildirim said that they would organize a conference in coming 6 months to make the project's name heard.
"We discussed the steps we need to take swiftly to complete the project, and gave some instructions on this direction and from now on all work will be made according to these instructions," said Yildirim. 
"The project has a vital importance not only for Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan but also for the whole region. This project is helping the region as well as globe," Yildirim also said.
