Iran shuts down nuclear power plant for 2 months

TEHRAN

Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant will be shut for two months due to maintenance works, Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, AEOI announced on Monday.

The nuclear power plant will be disconnected for a two-month period, which began on Sunday night.

Bushehr is the only nuclear power plant of Iran. Its construction started in 1975 and its commercial operation began in September 2013. 

Russia will supply fuel for the power plant for 10 years.
