Employment programs implemented in harmony with the growth policies provide significant benefits to the performance of countries, Turkey's deputy Prime Minister Numan Kurtulmus said on Wednesday.

Speaking at the G20 Labor and Employment Ministerial meeting in Melbourne, Kurtulmus said many important topics were discussed during the summit including boosting employment, battle for women's rights, youth unemployment, equality and social inclusiveness and the fight against black economy.

“The Labor Ministry and Economy Ministry working in coordination strongly contribute to the economy of the country. Economy Coordination Committee evaluates all regulations we plan to implement in Turkey, and decisions are made accordingly,” Kurtulmus said.

Kurtulmus also stressed that “Employment Task Force” established between G20 countries should be institutionalized and transformed into “Employment Action Committee” as soon as possible.

Deputy Prime Minister is expected to hold bilateral talks with Australia's Minister for Employment Eric Abetz this afternoon and then attend the working dinner given in honor of ministers.
