13th Frankfurt film fest to kick off October 25

FRANKFURT (AA) - The 13th Frankfurt Film Festival is set to begin on October 25, featuring a number of Turkish movies. 

The festival will start with a gala of "Uzun Hikaye" (Long Story) movie directed by Turkish director Osman Sinav.

The Turkish films that will be screened include Ali Aydin's debut feature “Küf” (Mold), Pelin Esmer's "Gözetleme Kulesi" (Watchtower), Sermiyan Midyat's "Hükümet Kadin" (Government Woman) and Zeki Demirkubuz's "Yeraltı" (Inside) .

"Dans Le Masion" by Francois Ozon, "Tango Libre" by Frederic Fonteyne and "Mother & Son" by Calin Peter Netzer are also among the movies in the European cinema section.

"Frankfurt Film Festival will make an important cooperation in Frankfurt's culture and art life. We've set out in order to explain and introduce Turkish culture," festival organizer Huseyin Sitki told AA.

The festival, which will start on October 25, will last through November 3.
