Iranian news agency delegates visit Anadolu Agency
Deputy director-generals of Anadolu Agency welcome Iranian news agency delegation.
ANKARA
Delegates of Iran's Islamic Republic News Agency, or IRNA, have paid a visit to the Ankara headquarters of Turkey's Anadolu Agency.
Anadolu Agency’s Deputy Director General Mustafa Ozkaya and Editor in Chief Metin Mutanoglu welcomed Mohammad Khodaddi, the head of IRNA and his delegation on Friday.
The groups discussed ways to improvement cooperation between the two agencies.
The IRNA delegation was also briefed on how AA functions as they visited the news agency’s different departments.
Cooperation agreement
Anadolu Agency signed a cooperation agreement with IRNA on Jan. 29, 2014, which includes the daily exchange of news and photographs in Turkish, Farsi and English between the two organizations.
The agreement aims to organize working relationships between the agencies' personnel.
Anadolu Agency currently broadcasts in Turkish, Arabic, English, Russian, Kurdish, French, Albanian as well as Bosnian, Serbian and Croatian.
The agency has divided its global network into five main regions as part of its centennial vision; the Americas, Europe, Middle East-Africa, Asia-Caucasus and Asia-Pacific.
