Basketball: Top 16 phase ends in Turkish Airlines Euroleague
Galatasaray Liv Hospital from Turkey advance to Top 8 in Euroleague after beating Partizan NIS Belgrade in Istanbul.
The Top 16 phase ended on Friday in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague, Europe’s highest basketball club competition, with only one Turkish team advancing to the Top 8 playoffs stage.
Galatasaray Liv Hospital qualified after winning against Serbia's Partizan NIS Belgrade 64-55 in Istanbul. The Lions will meet the leaders of the Group E, Barcelona in a first leg game on April 15.
Meanwhile, Fenerbahce Ulker vanquished Anadolu Efes 84-65 in a ceremonial group match between the two Turkish teams leaving the competition.

After the last round in the Top 16, teams to play in the playoffs, or the Top 8, are unveiled.
The playoffs will be played as best-of-five series between April 15 and 25 and the winners of this stage will be in the final four in Milan.
