In this program, designed to train journalists to cover war, disasters, and states of emergency, participants receive training from Turkish police and military personnel who are experts in their fields.
The program includes 22 participants, comprising nine AA employees and participants from Serbia, Romania, Ukraine, Bosnia and Herzegovina, North Macedonia, Greece, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
On the third day of the training, Yusuf Özhan, AA Vice President & Editor-In-Chief, also provided training to the participants on “media management and broadcasting principles in extraordinary situations.”

The trainees then received training on “civil unrest", "bulletproof equipment", and "use of gas masks” at the Gölbaşı facility, conducted by personnel from the Provincial Police Department’s Rapid Deployment Unit.

During the training, participants received hands-on instruction on how to respond to interventions involving high-pressure water, pepper spray, and smoke grenades, with the aim of preparing them for the conditions encountered during public unrest.

While the partipicants were being subjected to tear gas, they were also simultaneously doused with high-pressure water from a Public Order Intervention Vehicle (TOMA).
