At the Police-Court Correspondent Training held at AAtölye held under the coordination of Anadolu Ajansı (AA) Academy, Atilla shared his experiences on being a police-court correspondent with AA staff and participants.

Atilla said that he started his career in front of the “ emergency ward” and that he learned the importance of the presumption of innocence and questioning for journalism at an early age with the story of ‘Süleyman’ and added: “Every journalist who works as a police correspondent should look at the events by questioning them and should not forget the presumption of innocence.”

Mentioning the importance of learning and curiosity in journalism, Atilla and emphasized that special attention should be given to "contact" in the profession.

Atilla said, "In other words, consider that anyone offering you cheese or a carrot might have an agenda. You need to keep your relationships as measured as possible—because we are journalists."

Atilla pointed out that the core of journalism lies in police reporting, emphasizing that it is where the profession is truly learned: "I believe that a journalist who starts out in economics or sports won't be as resilient and well-equipped as a police reporter."

Following his speech, Atilla answered questions of the participants.
