New media curator İsmail Halis participated in the “Digital News Editing Course” session of the training given at the AA Istanbul International News Center.
Halis stated that there should be more independent videos in new media and design language, and that the main language of the new world is video, noting that remaining closed to the digital world, artificial intelligence, and new media will mean “being ignored” in 2026.

Halis explained that it is not enough to be just a “follower/reader” in the digital world, and that it is necessary to create content on a global scale, be effective, and ensure multilingual visibility. He said that artificial intelligence tools offer huge opportunities such as saving time, providing “shortcuts” to work, and “zipping,” but that the discipline required to take advantage of this must be built by individuals, institutions, and structures.
