The “Digital Journalism Training” held for journalists and new media workers under the coordination of AA Academy continues with “Artificial Intelligence in Journalism.”

At the training session titled “Artificial Intelligence in Journalism” held at the AA Istanbul International News Center, Prof. Dr. Erkan Saka, Faculty Member at Istanbul Bilgi University's Faculty of Communication, Department of New Media and Communication, and Director of the Doctoral Program in Communication Sciences, shared his assessments regarding the era of generative artificial intelligence.

Referring to media organizations that use artificial intelligence tools, Saka pointed out that the outputs are not published directly.

Saka introduced various artificial intelligence tools and shared his knowledge and experience regarding the areas in which they can be used.

Emphasizing the importance of the verification reflex in the use of artificial intelligence, Saka made assessments regarding the shortcomings and areas for improvement in applications.

Training program

The Digital Journalism Training program aims to equip media professionals with the fundamental principles of digital journalism.

Participants will gain comprehensive knowledge on digital literacy, news value, strategic planning in digital news, platform-specific content production, digital news design, data visualization, and the use of artificial intelligence in journalism.

The training will continue with different sessions throughout December and January.
