The third session of the training program, “Digital Tools and Visualization”, held at the AA Istanbul International News Center was delivered by graffiti artist Muhammed Emin Türkmen.
Türkmen explained that visual thinking gains meaning through the individual and essentially develops in the human mind as a collage.
Türkmen explained that visual thinking emerges when the experience gained with age is used at the right time and in the right place, stating, “When we look at humanity's oldest works, we see that before writing, there was actually painting, and visuality was at the forefront. When we think about this, we see that since the dawn of history, when humans wanted to convey their concerns to someone, they expressed them through painting.”
Türkmen noted that visuality is the fastest and most straightforward way to understand a subject, possessing a universality that people from all backgrounds can understand.

Muhammed Emin Türkmen stated that he was inspired by Ali Jadallah's photograph in his graffiti work at the entrance of the AA Istanbul International News Center, saying, "There is pain and destroyed buildings everywhere in Gaza. However, Ali Jadallah takes effective and meaningful photographs with contrast. We actually discussed the piece at the garage entrance for a very long time. We wanted to convey to people that a more just world is possible."
