European Council President Donald Tusk and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker will meet with the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor on Monday.
EU representatives will travel to Bulgaria for the opening ceremony of the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU Council on Thursday and Friday. Bulgaria took over the rotating presidency of the European Union Council from Estonia on Monday.

On Thursday, the Civil Liberties Committee will vote on new rules to better equip EU countries to freeze and confiscate criminal assets across the EU. Part of a package aimed at strengthening the fight against financing terrorism and organized crime, the draft legislation will also allow national authorities to temporarily freeze assets that are at risk of suddenly being moved if no action is taken.
A proposal by the European Commission setting new limits for the use of the endocrine disruptor bisphenol A (BPA) in varnishes and coatings that come into contact with food will be up for a vote in the Environment and Public Health Committee on Thursday.

The presidency of the Council rotates among the EU member states every six months. On Monday, Bulgaria took over the rotating presidency from Estonia.
