The number of oil rigs in the US decreased by 3 this week, according to the latest data released by oilfield services company Baker Hughes on Friday.
The number of oil rigs, an indicator of short-term production in the country, fell by 3 to 407 for the week ending April 24.
The number of US oil rigs decreased by 68 compared to one year ago.
The price of international benchmark Brent crude stood at $105.33 per barrel at Friday's trading close, up from $105.07 on Thursday.
American benchmark West Texas Intermediate (WTI) was at $94.40 a barrel at Friday's close, compared to $95.85 on Thursday.
