Türkiye's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) production increased by 29.1% to 84,742 tons in May, compared to the same month in 2024, according to the Turkish Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) latest report on Monday.
EMRA's LPG market report showed that the country's LPG imports fell by 14%, reaching 280,981 tons in May, with the majority of imports coming from Algeria, Russia, the US, Georgia and Italy.
While the country's LPG exports rose by 90.8% year-on-year, to 54,535 tons in May.
The top destinations for Türkiye's LPG exports were the UAE, Lebanon, Bulgaria, Switzerland, Ukraine, Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TNRC), Singapore, Romania, Greece, Free Zones of Türkiye and Liberia.
Total domestic LPG sales reached 332,270 tons in May.
