Danish energy company Vestas received an order for the 76 megawatt Solberg wind power plant in northern Sweden, the company announced on Thursday.
Vestas said that the order was for the supply, installation and commissioning of 22 wind turbines generating 3.45 megawatts of capacity.
"This will be our second wind power plant in Sweden, and we are looking forward to good cooperation with Vestas in this important and exciting project. The Solberg project, made in collaboration with leading partners in the sector, supports our ambition of growing within wind and solar through development of new projects and selective acquisitions," said Kari Kautinen, senior vice president of solar and wind development of Finnish company Fortum, owner of the Solberg plant.
The turbine delivery is expected to begin in the third quarter of 2017, with commissioning expected to start in the fourth quarter of 2017.
