Türkiye's energy import bill increased by 0.8% to $4.59 billion in June, compared to the same month last year, according to data released by the Turkish Statistical Institute on Thursday.
The country's energy import bill totaled $4.55 billion last June.
The data shows that the overall import bill for the month, including energy and other items, totaled $28.68 billion.
At $4.59 billion, energy accounted for 16% of the overall import figures in Türkiye in June.
Crude oil imports saw a 2.8% increase to 2.92 million tons in June, compared to 2.84 million tons in June 2024.
