Swedish energy company Vattenfall appointed Anna Borg as president and CEO of the company from November 2020, the company announced on Friday.
Since 2017, Borg was Vattenfall's Chief Financial Officer and has many years of experience in the energy sector.
"Borg has a broad and deep experience that makes her very well suited to be CEO at Vattenfall. She has been involved in setting the company's new strategic direction and is the right person to now take on and continue its execution," said Vattenfall's chairman Lars G Nordstrom.
Borg said she looks forward to continuing the company's clear strategy to focus on delivering its ambitious plans with all of its skilled employees.
Borg, born in 1971, succeeds Magnus Hall, who on July 21 announced he would leave Vattenfall.
She takes on her new role as CEO on Nov. 1. The company will commence recruitment efforts for a new CFO.
