The international forum World Atomic Week, the largest event dedicated to the nuclear sector and related industries, commenced on Thursday in the capital city of Moscow.
The event, timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the Russian nuclear industry, is being held at Moscow's Exhibition of National Economy Achievements (VDNH).
Representatives from more than 100 countries and over 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the event.
The two-day business program, themed "Everything starts with an atom," includes a plenary session and a series of thematic roundtable discussions, bringing together experts, policymakers, and industry leaders from around the world.
Running parallel to the business program is a specialized exhibition featuring the latest developments in the nuclear industry.
In addition, the forum will feature a youth program, expected to bring together more than 18,000 young people from different nationalities, and will conclude on Sept. 28.
