Turkey's liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) imports increased by 14.1% to 275 thousand tonnes in September compared to the same month of 2018, according to the latest data revealed by the country's energy watchdog on Wednesday.
The Energy Market Regulatory Authority's (EMRA) data showed that imports to Turkey came from the U.S, Algeria, Norway, Kazakhstan, Russia, Greece and Libya
Turkey's LPG production increased in September to approximately 99 thousand tonnes - a year-on-year increase of 20.8%.
Exports decreased by nearly 97.6% to 43 thousand tonnes this September compared to September 2018.
Total LPG sales rose by approximately 373 thousand tonnes in September -- a 3.9% increase, including 300 thousand tonnes of autogas, 65 thousand tonnes of bottled LPG, and 7 thousand tonnes of bulk LPG.
